Restore your mobility and function with osteopathy
A whole-body manual therapy approach with the goal of restoring mobility to the body's structures for optimal, balanced function.
What is osteopathy?
Osteopathy is a drug-free, non-invasive manual therapy that focuses on whole-body health. It was established in 1874 by Dr. Andrew Taylor Still, a surgeon who sought to use "hands-on" techniques to improve circulation and correct altered biomechanics.
How is it different?
The key principle of osteopathy is that all parts of the body function together in an integrated manner. If one part is restricted, the rest of the body must adapt and compensate, which can lead to stiffness and pain. By liberating these tissues, we help your body regain its natural ability to heal.
Our treatment approach
We use a broad range of gentle, precise techniques to normalize the mechanics of bones, muscles, and fascia:
- Deep tactile pressure: To release deep-seated tension.
- Soft tissue stretching: To improve flexibility in muscles and ligaments.
- Mobilization: To restore range of motion in restricted joints.
- Cranial & visceral osteopathy: Specialized techniques for head, neck, and organ function.
Professional standards
Our osteopaths are members of Ostéopathie Québec and meet the rigorous criteria set by the World Health Organization (WHO).
